Betaine HCl

A form of hydrochloric acid that helps restore proper stomach acidity — low stomach acid is more common than people think, and it can mess up your entire digestion.

Do the 'HCl titration test': start with 1 capsule per meal and add one more each meal until you feel warmth or burning, then back off by one. That's your dose.

Side Effects

  • !Can cause heartburn or stomach irritation — especially if you actually have TOO MUCH acid
  • !May aggravate ulcers or gastritis
  • !Should NOT be taken if you're on acid-suppressing medications (PPIs) without medical guidance
  • !Can be harsh on the esophagus if taken without food
